This course is part of the Library and is free to use with all annual education subscriptions. The aim of this course is to give an introduction to safeguarding in an educational setting. It provides information on the terminology used and explains the key roles of individuals. Each section of the course includes multiple-choice questions to consolidate learning.
The course has been devised by Oliver Butterwick, a Teacher, E-safety Officer, Designated Safeguarding Lead and CEOP Ambassador and Sally Baker, MSc in Forensic Psychology, BSc in Psychology, Youth Justice Foundation Degree and Senior Practitioner in Sexual Harmful Behaviour for Barnardos. Sally has worked with children and families for over eleven years in various settings including education, community work, youth justice and multi-systemic therapy.
